This wonderful family had travelled from the Netherlands for their first holiday in the UK, and wanted something more meaningful than the usual holiday snapshots. Our time together was simply another enjoyable part of their holiday. The toddler explored the caves, played along the shoreline and enjoyed the freedom that Holywell Bay offers whilst at low tide, while I photographed everything naturally as it unfolded. As golden hour approached, the whole beach was filled with warm golden tones, creating the perfect backdrop without ever taking attention away from the family themselves.
The wide open space also means children can run, laugh and play without feeling restricted, which helps everyone relax in front of the camera.

One of the most common questions I hear is, "What if we're awkward in front of the camera?" The good news is you don't need any experience or know how to pose.
My sessions are relaxed and natural, with plenty of time to walk along the beach or explore the dunes, and simply enjoy being together. I'll offer gentle guidance when needed, but the best photographs usually come from the genuine moments in between; the laughter, cuddles and little interactions that happen naturally. The aim isn't to create perfectly posed portraits, but to capture your family as you are, so you leave with photographs that feel authentic and bring back memories of your time in Cornwall.
