If you’re dreaming of a Somerset wedding venue that combines countryside charm with pure elegance, Soho's very own Babington House is hard to beat. Janice and Jacky chose this stunning venue for their wedding earlier this Summer, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day. With beautiful dry weather, champagne flowing, and non-stop energy, it was a celebration I’ll never forget.
The day kicked off in brilliant fashion, with the groomsmen and guests heading out for clay pigeon shooting on the grounds — a fun and unique way to start a wedding morning. Meanwhile, Janice was getting ready in the breathtaking bridal suite, the kind of room that feels made for wedding mornings. From laughter with her bridesmaids to those final quiet moments before walking down the aisle, every detail set the tone for the day.
The ceremony took place outside on the lawn, overlooking Babington House itself — one of the most iconic views amongst luxury wedding venues. The setup was brought to life by stunning florals from Flowers by Passion, while The Bristol String Quartet provided beautiful music to an already emotional and unforgettable ceremony.
After the ceremony, guests showered Janice and Jacky with confetti before everyone gathered for a champagne tower — always such a fun, celebratory moment to capture. This was followed by delicious canapés served on the lawn, giving everyone a chance to relax, chat, and soak in the sunshine. Afterwards, guests gathered in the elegantly styled breakfast room for the reception. The décor was nothing short of incredible, with so much attention to detail making it a dream to photograph. Dinner was followed by heartfelt speeches, including a hilarious moment from the groom’s brother that had the whole room in stitches.
As the sun set, Babington House gave us the most magical golden hour portraits — one of my favourite moments of the day. And then came the evening party… the dancefloor was wild, full of energy, and absolutely packed from the first track to the last.
I was helped by Alex Evans once again as my second photographer, which meant we could capture every angle of the day - from emotional candid moments to the big celebrations. Together, we created a gallery that tells the full story of Janice and Jacky’s wedding exactly as it unfolded.
Here’s what Janice and Jacky had to say about their experience:
“We loved Ryan’s professional and creative eye when capturing the candid moments at our wedding. His vision was exactly what we were looking for! Thanks Ryan!”
It was an absolute joy to be part of Janice and Jacky’s Babington House wedding in Somerset. From start to finish, their day was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
