With the wedding season of 2018 really picking up the pace, I rarely find time to do any blogging at the moment. But every now and then I catch up and I start reminiscing about past weddings, and this one came to mind from The Longhouse with Catherine and Dave back in May.

Already this year, I have snapped one of their friends weddings, Kate and Chay back in March, and it was them who led Cat and Dave to me at one of the many wedding fairs I exhibit at. I knew straight away from their smiles that they were happy and from that moment I had good vibes about the whole experience right the way up to the big day. The venue itself was completely new to me this year to, but with 2 weddings booked for the same venue in the same month I was super chuffed to get some good practise in and be greeted with familiar faces next time as they have put me on their preferred vendors list. Thank you Longhouse!

Anyway, Cat started the day out at a local b+b with her bridesmaids and the MOB/MOG getting all their hair and make up done all lovely ready for the day. I attended this part of the day like I usually do and it was clear from the get go that Cat and her friends were all super excited for what was ahead. And Dave raised the excitement levels even higher to at least a 9 after planning the Red Campervan as a surprise for Cat. (Brownie points there mate!)  Once Cat had seen the van, I headed off to the venue ready for the rest of the day, to watch them become man and wife and it was a lovely ceremony, with luck on our side again with the weather considering it was forecast thunderstorms for the whole day.

There was one thing I did notice that was consistent throughout the day though unlike the weather, and its not something like the colour scheme, or the shoes, the food or anything you would expect, instead it was how emotional the day was. The boys were teary at all the right moments and I was proud to have been there to share it and capture it.

Right, before I finish, I would like to say thank you to the bride and groom for choosing me to capture their wedding for them, and I hope you all enjoy looking through this little peak into their big day!! Don’t forget to share the love!
